After some serious bushwhacking in the trees, we finally returned to trail along the Roaring River. The hike has already exceeded 12 hours at this point! photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy216.jpg
As nice as Rowe Tarn was, it was time to depart for Mummy Mountain (RMNP's 8th highest peak). Here we take one last photo back towards Rowe Peak, Rowe Tarn, and Rowe Glacier. This was a special spot for all of us.... photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy168.jpg
As you can see, we still have 5.7 miles of long hiking to get back to the trailhead. This was the hardest 5.7 miles of the day for Hikemaster Scott. photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy217.jpg

Back on Rowe Peak, another photo of Rowe Glacier, Rowe Tarn, and Hague Peak was in order....we're finally heading back in the direction of the car, but still have many miles (and one more summit: Mummy Mtn) to go! photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy145.jpg
Careful! Hikemaster Scott takes a photo from ledges below Mummy's summit. Lawn Lake seems forever below in the valley. photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy203.jpg

From the side of Hague Peak, this incredible picture of morning light on Longs Peak and the Front Range is obtained. The ridge in the foreground is a part of Fairchild Mountain. photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy021.jpg
From the summit of Rowe Peak, Hague Peak looks impressive. The two peaks are separated by this spectacular glacier and tarn. photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy105.jpg
Gorgeous noontime view south into the heart of RMNP from the boulders along the ridge joining Hague and Mummy. photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy173.jpg
Gorgeous view into the trees below Mummy Mountain. We have to head that way, about 7-8 long miles, to return to the Lawn Lake Trailhead. Ughhh! photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy211.jpg

Hikemaster Billy, Rachael, and Jaime enjoy an idyllic lunch at Rowe Tarn. The winds here were quite calm and the warm sunshine left us with comfortable conditions at this spot. photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy155.jpg
Hikemaster Billy and his sister (in Laramie, WY, visible here far, far to the north). Much closer are Rowe Peak (9th ranked in RMNP) and Rowe Mountain (15th ranked in RMNP). These are the next 2 peaks on our journey. photo Hagues-Rowe-Rowe-Mummy060.jpg
